Nhat Anh's 10-Year Journey in Tattooing
Nhat Anh’s journey began with a passion for comic books and drawing, spending years developing his artistic skills from an early age. After studying architecture for a short time, he decided to pursue tattooing professionally with the full support of his family and trained under Black Bear Tattoo. Following his apprenticeship, he started his career as an independent artist, gaining hands-on experience while building his own artistic identity.
Like many artists, his path was far from easy. After returning to Hanoi, the COVID-19 pandemic brought years of uncertainty and financial challenges, yet he remained committed to improving his craft and never stepped away from tattooing. That persistence eventually led to the creation of DNA Tattoo Studio, a brand built with a simple vision: to share meaningful artistic value through tattooing and create work that lasts a lifetime.
Although Nhat Anh is widely recognized for his Graphic Tattoo works, his true passion lies in Realism Tattoo (one of the most technically demanding styles in the industry, often compared to creating portraits on skin). His graphic pieces combine realism with geometric forms and visual elements, allowing him to continuously refine his realism techniques while adapting to modern tattoo trends.
Today, his work has attracted more than 60,000 followers on TikTok, while his most viewed piece (a hyper-realistic full front-body tattoo with nearly 10 million views) reflects the artistic direction he continues to pursue for the future, even if it is not the most mainstream style among clients.
